Whenever a client calls for our services they very often mistake the Honeybee with the Yellow Jacket Wasp.
The main difference between the two bee species is the rings around the bees abdomen. The honeybee has smoother rings while the wasp has more jagged rings. The rings on the wasp are more dramatic yellow and black jagged rings on abdomen.
The Honeybee has smoother more beige rings -no yellow while rings are more blackish -brown

Honeybee has softer look while the darker rings are blackish brown in colour.
This video depicts what the yellow jacket looks like in detail.
